Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to plan and present information to promote the sustainable use of local marine and freshwater environments.The unit applies to individuals who have knowledge of local ecology and the cultural significance of sustainable fishing activities and legislation. They undertake informal conversations or formal talks with community groups or set up displays at community events or in locations frequented by users of the local marine and freshwater environments.All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, according to state/territory health and safety, food safety, biosecurity and environmental regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
